Generative Art

In one of my classes, I learned about generative art and creative coding, which is art that's created by code, often with randomized, autonomous elements. And for that class, we had to do research on creative coders and I quickly found how cool it was.

I didn't really research into creative coding until after my professor assigned a project in making a piece of generative art, but either way, I'm still pleased with the final result of my piece.

Both of the above pieces were created using the same piece of code, and there's a bunch of other variations to it as well. There are five color schemes to choose from, and the position of the shapes are in random order. I had a ton of fun with it, and seeing the art that was created looks really cool too.

If you're interested in viewing the code or seeing the other variations that can come up, I'd encourage you to check it out! Just click the green "run" button at the top of the screen.
